A fictional narrative from factual events bringing historical repetitions of refugees through the ages. The fugitive and celebrated Jewish singer Mathilda Segalescu and her piano embark on a final voyage on the Struma - the last ship that sailed from Romania to Palestine in 1941 taking 769 Jewish refugees, all killed in a tragic shipwreck in the Black Sea. The only survivor was the piano found by an Arab fisherman. As a black box, the piano brings the spectrum of Mathilda. The fisherman falls in love with her, who appears every night to tell about her tragic diaspora.
