Where to Watch World's Weirdest (2011)

Summary

Parasitic worms, flesh-eating maggots, blood-sucking leeches and skin-nibbling fish -- believe it or not, there's a chance one of those creepy creatures could cure an illness that's stumping modern medicine. Yes, I know - Say WHAT?! Most of us would run from these creatures and often attempt to eradicate them. But scientists and MDs are finding out just how much we need these creepy-crawlers to stay healthy. On this episode of National Geographic WILD's "Worlds Weirdest" we'll explore the healing properties of the creatures many of us think are disgusting, but sometimes turn out to be life savers.
